These days took place on October 17 and 18, 2022 in Marrakech.
The event featured a plenary session with keynote speakers, oral communications and posters. In this context, the FoSaMed project was selected to share its research, work, innovative initiatives and good practices.
The aim of the Call for contributions was to emphasize actions and reflect scientific research developed by teams engaged in cooperation projects or as results and impacts of Erasmus+ supported actions. The focus was both on scientific results but also on successful initiatives that can give educators, researchers and stakeholders, ideas, good practices and more opportunities to transform the potential of networking into real actions in education and scientific research.
The Moroccan team was honored to present the paper entitled “Study on the approach of students and teachers for the development of curricula in food safety: FosaMed Project”. The findings of the preparation work realised toward the launch of the new Master’s Degree on Food Safety will be shared with the audience.
Indeed, the FoSaMed partners carried out an extensive evaluation of the study programs of Moroccan universities on the topic and focused questionnaires allowed to involve the different stakeholders of the project (teachers, students and professionals) and to collect all the necessary data to understand the real needs in this field.
The evaluation analysis took into consideration teaching methods, student-teacher interaction, training interactions and other dynamics of teaching and learning processes.
The project aims at qualifying Moroccan academics for modern and innovative teaching methodologies, to support Moroccan HEIs on food safety and to contribute to inclusive higher education, which integrates underprivileged groups, such as women, rural populations and gives them equal access to knowledge and the opportunities it brings.
