About our organization
Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire (IAV) Hassan II” is a multidisciplinary polytechnic Centre, hosting several schools. It is offering engineering, veterinary medicine, master and Phd graduation diploma, and hosts 250 scientists and faculty members and 180 Technical staff – in 22 departments.
The training of food science engineers through the Food Science section is in the general context of upgrading the competitiveness of companies in the agri-food sector. It aims to meet the needs of these companies in qualified technical management staff who can perform the main functions of production management, quality management, and improvement of food products, processing and preservation.
Why we are partecipating in the project
Morocco, like many countries, seeks to guarantee food for citizens, so it has taken the necessary measures to improve food security and food quality. In addition, at national level, food safety has become a major concern for health services, inspection services and consumers.
Hence, the need for training in the field of food safety to ensure that there are technicians available to apply existing standards, to improve food hygiene and food safety.
The creation of this Master will contribute to a greater integration of researchers within the Agri-food industry.
Our role in the project
IAV will be responsible for the coordination of Master’s implementation. IAV will support the UNIMED in dissemination at local level (in Morocco).

Official registration of enrolled in the Master, in Moroccan universities (number of students);
Student participation in the e- learning space;
Registration of attended classes students.
