UEVORA
University of Évora
About our organization
The University of Évora is one of the universities belonging to the Portuguese public higher education system. As such, its mission involves: the production of knowledge through scientific and artistic research, experimentation and technological and humanistic development; the socialization of knowledge, providing students and working population with academic qualification through undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses, ad hoc training courses and informal training throughout life; and the transmission of knowledge to the community.
Why we are partecipating in the project
The vision of the University of Évora shares identical human, cultural and scientific values with the European Community; prioritize strategically alliances with the neighbouring regions, having defined the Mediterranean as a privileged area for research and international cooperation; seeks to expand its mission into the Mediterranean countries, not forgetting, at the same time, the current challenges related to a global “world” for which we must all be well-prepared. In this sense, the FoSaMed project meets the mission of the University of Évora.
Our role in the project
The University of Évora (UEVORA) is the coordinating institution of the FoSaMed project. It is responsible for the management of the entire project, for the coordination between partners and for contacts with the European Commission’s funding agency. In addition to WP 7 – Project Management, it also leads WP2 – Curriculum design and development for the new Master in Food Safety.
