From 26th to 29th February 2024, the Fosamed family gathered in Oujda, Morocco, at the home of our partner Université Mohammed Premier.
Since the start of the Master’s, this was the first opportunity to meet and celebrate together this key achievement in the life of the project. Now that the main outcome of the project has been achieved, the partners are ready to further strengthen their cooperation in the field of food safety. The starting point is the evaluation of the first semester of the implementation of the Master’s, followed by a discussion on how to prepare for the second semester.
The welcoming UMP team took the partnership to visit the University’s laboratories and to meet the first year students of the Fosamed Master’s course. They shared their appreciation of the first semester and asked with great enthusiasm about their future, internships and job prospects.
The mission also took the Fosamed teams to the Agropole of Berkane, a few kilometres from Oujda. The aim of the Agropole is to improve the production of key sectors in the Oriental region, in particular by bringing together regional agricultural production, processing, marketing and distribution of food products at regional, national and international level.
Knowing the needs of the region, networking and linking the academic offer to the needs of the labour market: these are important objectives of the Fosamed project for the sustainability of its results and, in particular, of the Master’s.
Valuable time was then devoted to reflecting on the remaining tasks and preparing for the coming months: the examination calendar, the next modules and the timetable for the second semester, the coordination of the MOOC and video lessons, the closing event and the regular quality and dissemination activities.
Special thanks to the team of Université Mohammed Premier for the wonderful mission and to all Fosamed colleagues for the valuable exchanges and inspiring ideas for the future.
